“I fitted a Hydrovane steering system on my yacht DANTE which I recently purchased in Tortola B.V.I. for a trip back home to Australia. DANTE is a Harmony 42 and I was a little bit apprehensive as to how the off-set position would affect the performance. After nearly 8,000 miles I’m happy to say the Hydrovane has performed brilliantly, in light air as well as heavy and on all points of sailing, quietly keeping the yacht on course with only minor adjustments needed for the wind shifts.
